Chely Wright Just Get “MARRIED TOO”

The American country music artist Chely Wright is a married woman now.
In the latest hot gossip, well, Kim Kardashian wasn’t the only one to get married this weekend because the 40 year old Wright married her partner Lauren Blitzer in a family member’s home in Connecticut on Saturday August 20, 2011, so there are officially wife and wife.
The couple exchanged vows in front of a reverend and a rabbi, as well as their 200 plus guests.
Speaking about Lauren, Chely said, “The freedom of being out and open about who I am allowed me to findand fall in love with Lauren – the most amazing woman I’ve ever known.”
Wright came out as a gay in May 2010, in an admission that resulted in death threats and thoughts of suicide. Just two weeks later, though, the country singer met Blitzer, a GLBT Civil Rights activist, and eventually fell in love to each other.
In the previous celebrity news earlier this year, Chely told PEOPLE Magazine that a rabbi and priest would preside over the ceremony, while New York barbecue restaurant Blue Smoke was to handle the menu because live wedding bands make Chely “nervous,” the singer opted not to hire one.
“Sometimes they’re not great, and I’d be going, Ugh, that doesn’t sound right, so we’re going to play all the campiest, cheesiest songs you can think of, ‘Vogue,’ ‘You Shook Me All Night Long’…”Chely explanation about her decision to hire a deejay.
Both brides wore a white gown for the wedding and Wright joked to PEOPLE, “We like our hair too much!”
